This Bronze Bear and Eagle Statue freezes a dramatic mid-air moment, with a black bear rearing onto its hind legs and stretching a raised paw toward a bald eagle as it swoops down onto a broken branch. The two animals meet at a single point of contact, giving the composition a strong sense of story and tension rather than a static grouping.
The bear's open jaw and raised claws are carved with sharp, active lines, and its coat is textured in overlapping fur strokes that follow the twist of the body as it balances upright. This gives the figure weight and realism even in a dynamic pose.
The eagle is shown at full wingspan, with each primary feather individually separated and slightly curved to suggest the resistance of air during descent. Its head, tail, and talons are finished in a lighter tone against the darker body and wings, echoing the natural coloring of a mature bald eagle.
Both animals share a single rugged, rock-textured bronze base, which grounds the scene and reinforces its outdoor, wilderness setting.
